Cambridge Boundary Run 2015

An anticlockwise loop around Cambridge, mostly over fields, quiet roads, riverside and the guided busway.

I set off a bit quick, clocking 12km for the first hour and very nearly that for the second hour, though there was a Westerly tailwind for some of the first half.  The second half was a different run entirely.  I paid for the quick first half with sore calves and battled to make progress into the headwind.  At times the wind reduced me to walking, and barely walking at that.

This one really wore me down, but I found some strength for the last mile to the finish, overtaking a couple of runners on the way in.

4:51:39, a couple of minutes quicker than my previous attempt on this course and something of a milestone, being my 75th marathon.
